Romaine Rusnak, RD, LDN, is a Registered Dietitian and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist with over 35 years of clinical experience in Medical Nutrition Therapy. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition & Medical Dietetics from the University of Illinois Chicago (1988-1990) and maintains active membership with the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics.

Romaine most recently served as a Renal Dietitian at US Renal Care from August 2018 to May 2024, where she provided clinical dietitian services at dialysis clinics. Her three-plus decades of hands-on patient care span acute care hospitals, long-term care facilities, homecare agencies, hospice programs, and outpatient clinics throughout the Chicago metropolitan area.

Her clinical expertise encompasses a comprehensive range of specialties, including diabetes management, cardiovascular health, oncology nutrition, enteral and parenteral feeding, gastrointestinal disorders, weight management, and substance abuse counseling. Throughout her career, Romaine has worked with diverse patient populations—from seniors and hospice patients to individuals in acute care settings—delivering personalized nutrition interventions as part of interdisciplinary medical teams.

A passionate advocate for evidence-based nutrition, Romaine is dedicated to bringing the latest nutrition science to wellness communication. Her work includes clinical reviews, medical writing, personalized meal planning, and recipe analysis, all informed by decades of direct patient care experience.
